Go GREEK at Truman!
All of the social Greek letter organizations at Truman have some sort of recruitment period for their organizations. Most of our organizations have scheduled events during both the fall and spring semesters with the more formal processes happening in the fall. Students who are interested in joining a fraternity or sorority at Truman have many options and we encourage you to take the opportunity to get to know the Greek students in our community. We look forward to meeting you!
Formal Recruitment is the time when you can have your questions answered and decide if joining a sorority is the right choice for you. Formal Recruitment is a week long experience that happens in early September, in which women have the opportunity to take a closer look at sorority life at Truman. During this time, you will be able to meet sorority members, discuss Greek Life, and start new friendships.
We encourage you to learn more about Greek Life and sign up for Formal Recruitment. If you have any questions, please do hot hesitate to email us at email@example.com.
The IFC recruitment period takes place towards the beginning of the fall and spring semesters. Recruitment is a week long process that begins on a Monday with the Men Recruitment Assembly and then continues through the following Friday. During the first few nights of Recruitment, fraternities host open events and men are encouraged to attend as many as possible. Towards the end of the week, as men have narrowed down their choices, Recruitment events become invite only usually starting on Wednesday or Thursday night. Bids are usually given out at this time and rushees are able to sign with their new fraternity on the final Friday of Recruitment week.
